International activities
The APCI develops sustained international activity around the touring schedule of the Observeur, accompanied by conferences and canvassing trips for agencies and companies. The Observeur, with the international ICSID competition label, appears among the awards present in Seoul every two years in the World Best Design Exchange. European activities
The APCI organises the annual European conference on design promotion. It participates in the ADMIRE programme (European design management award, « good practices » in design management, network of design cities) and in the working group on the assessment of the economic impact of design. It has compiled surveys (1993-2005) on design promotion in Europe and has participated in the long-term study « Design for Future Needs – DFFN (2002) ». Further details on European activities:
